Connolly's RED MILLS Xcel is designed to meet the needs of actively growing pups, saplings, and breeding and lactating bitches.
This nutritionally balanced feed results in dogs having stronger bones, muscles and ligaments resulting in less early racing career injuries.
Dehydrated Poultry Meat, Maize, Poultry Fat, Fishmeal, Soya Oil, Maize Gluten, Beet Pulp, Whole Linseed, Digest, Sodium Chloride, Calcium Carbonate, Chicory Inulin, Yeast Extract, Glucosamine Hydrochloride, Chondroitin Sulphate
Feeding Guide - Pups
Feed pups from three to four weeks of age (approximately) RED MILLS Xcel soaked in warm water and mashed to the consistency of porridge. Allow pups as much feed as they will eat within reason. At approximately seven to eight weeks of age, pups will eat dry Xcel and should be allowed free access ad lib to Xcel (within reason) and plenty of fresh water
Feeding Guide - Race Dogs
RED MILLS Xcel is a complete racing diet and requires only the addition of water (unless under veterinary advice). For racing dogs use RED MILLS Xcel with RED MILLS Racer Plus for approximately five days before an event. Feed 30-40% of the feed as RED MILLS Xcel and the remainder of the feed as Racer Plus. If using Xcel on its own, feed 14 gsm per kg bodyweight per day (0.22 ozs per lb bodyweight). Reduce the proportion of Xcel after the event. Do not use meat with Xcel. Xcel contains very high levels of concentrated energy and protein. As a result it contains lower levels of carbohydrate than Racer Plus and is more suitable for stayers than sprinters
Feeding Guide - Brood Bitches
Feed at levels as suggested for race dogs above for the first five weeks of pregnancy. RED MILLS Xcel may be used solely for the last four weeks of pregnancy and while the bitch is lactating
